Top 2020 international big 6'9 243lb Azuolas Tubelis & twin brother commit to Arizona! This is the big man that everyone was trying to keep on the down low as to not mess anything up with his recruitment. Big time get for the Wildcats. This will vault Arizona into the top 5 recruiting class for 2020 BEARDOWN!!
"Their campus is amazing, they have great fans and they are among best universities in college basketball," Azuolas Tubelis said. "Arizona has had similar players, like Derrick Williams for example, who coach Sean Miller developed, and I believe that will help me. Their assistant coach, Jack Murphy, has followed me since the Basketball Without Borders camp in Chicago and built a strong relationship with us. Read more below.

It's eerie how much his moves resemble a more athletic Ristic.
Good golly--pinch me, this is just nuts. Way to go coaching staff. Welcome aboard Tubeles twins. Enjoy your stay!

those two look serious AF.
Something tells me these kids can play. Excited to see this.
Welcome to Tucson! A great college town!
He is the best of the Euros based on his highlights. He has the body to move some people and he has great touch around the rim. Other than outside shooting (assuming that's not a strength based on lack of highlights), he has all the tools to be one of our best players.
My initial reaction to the switch to the international overload is that Miller is trying to repair the foundation in hyperspeed.
At this point, we do not have anyone that is going to be projected to leave early for the NBA.
That would mean we would only be losing...what two bodies next year in seniors Brown/Lee?
I think Miller is trying to reduce the departure rate at Arizona while also trying to solidify the chemistry by not being forced to replace 4-5 players every year.
I would not mind seeing how we fair using a Virginia/Villanova type of approach instead of a Duke/Kentucky type of approach.
Yes as Seniors, but you never know. Brown could have huge year and leave. This newest big could be very good and make a jump. Never know with these kids. The big thing is not replacing half the roster every year. CSM like 3-4 player classes. Hates having to recruit 6-7 guys a year. Doubles his work load in recruiting and means there is a huge learning curve every season to overcome.
I don't think this is part of a master plan to create stability. They may not be projected as one and dones but If they perform as we all hope, they are still likely to leave, right? I think it's about working harder to find good players after missing out on some other local recruits. I'm not suggesting we're settling for lesser players, rather finding good players in different areas. Adapting may happen if Miller really does adopt FIBA schemes to take advantage of his team's skills and experience.
the top americans seem to no longer be interested in the college route, screw em. These euros seem very willing to show what they got and get an education, i'm all for it.
Miller impresses again, welcome to Tucson
nulaikyti (am I saying that right?)
Bear Down Arizona
It will be interesting to see if there will be a pull for these European kids who are not NBA level talent to leave early and explore pro options like Euroleague.
Curious to know if he played against Kerr at some point.
I agree alot with what you are saying lg.
These last 2 years there has been to much turnover with 7_8 players leaving that means Miller had to replace half the team or more.
I would like to see 3_4 players each class leave that's it.
Now moving on to auzolis this kid looks really good athletic I expect to start at the 4 the one thing he needs to get better at Is shooting the ball from what I see.
They say he can guard different positions an seems like he can take people off the dribble which is huge from your 4. I see why Arizona wanted him so much
There is alot of talk auzolis could only be here one year that he is that talented.
I could see auzolis an j. Brown pursing the nba an maybe a surprise somewhere.
So there could still be up to 5 schollys for 2021.

That is always going to be a thing.
I believe Ristic had an opportunity to sign and go overseas, Kyryl signed after his junior year and went overseas as well.
That option is going to be enticing for some, but I believe most have the dream of getting to the NBA, and are willing to stick it out at Arizona to find out if that dream can become a reality.
