Out of 23 media votes there was only 1 who did not pick Arizona as #1. That 1 media person is Steve Mims (Oregon News Paper) picked Arizona to finish not 2nd not 3rd, but 4th!  Check out his article below on why he made his picks.

You never know, the situation might motivate the guys to stick together and play harder. The probe could cost us this year, but stating it will result from answering the media's questions is uhh.. interesting. They should stick to basketball only questions for as long as Miller thinks it's necessary in order for the team to continue focussing on taking care of business on the court.

Mims is a homer tool being paid by Nike ;)  Picks USC 1st, they are going through the same thing we are and his justification is weak.

It's weird seeing ASSU on the top half of the preseason standings.
It's VERY weird seeing both Utah and Colorado on the bottom half of the standings.
Everyone else looks about normal, but I am waiting for Wazzou to do something.
They always land/develop an all-conference player and put no help around him.
I am eager to see how Stanford and Oregon look with so much young talent expected to make an immediate impact.

Laughing out loud thinking about picturing Arizona State finishing in the top 6. Hahaha. Not happening.

Another thing I do remember is that the preseason predictions for the conference standings has been all over the place.
Teams exceed/fail expectations and there are a few teams that we did not expect to be where they end up.
As long as we continue to stay at the top, I could care less where the other 11 programs end up.
It is nice to watch it all play out though.

I'm calling it now, we sweep the awards this season!
Miller for COY, Trier for POY, Ayton for NOY AND DPOY and we get to Miller's first Final Four at Arizona!
You heard it hear first people..

Followed by beating Duke in the title game.
Deandre will outduel Bagley on the biggest stage of all.
