Power move by Miller, putting his money where his mouth is. Hopefully this news gets spread through the media.
Arizona's head men's basketball coach Sean Miller would forfeit $1 million if he commits a major NCAA violation or is criminally charged related to his employment, under an amended contract going before the Arizona Board of Regents for approval this week.

With this contract addition, Coach Miller has demonstrated his commitment to a program that follows the rules and the university has made it clear that it expects no less," said Tony Proudfoot, a spokesman for the University of Arizona.

I wish the article did more to stress that this was a move initiated by Sean Miller. We need as much good PR as we can get right now.

Glad they showed the full picture, that the basketball program brings in a NET $12 million that helps fund other sports.  Any CEO would love to have that ROI!  Great move by UA & Miller to hopefully quiet the asshats!

This is good news but am still worried.  He is giving up money he only gets if he completes the contract anyways correct?  Honestly what is a million dollars if he is criminally charged....  not much in my opinion because there are other things to worry about now.  This should be exciting to see this play out.  He honestly has all the time in the world with NCAA investigation.  He could be long gone before they ever even get into their investigation of him and the UA.  Books trial is still a year away and I believe the NCAA said they are going to wait till the FBI is done. I just don't know how he avoids any NCAA penalties....

Sorry for being negative,  maybe it's because I had a terrible Easter vacation in which I ended up sick and because the wrong wildcats won a NATTY!!!

Daily star says Miller would lose all retention fund if fired with cause. Not sure if the 1 Million would be on top of that as a fine? How do you guys read this? Check out article in tweet below

This MAY help with recruiting.  I seriously doubt the idiots will stop with their BS.  Maybe if that reporter was waterboarded and gave up who paid/convinced him to do this...Then just maybe the peabrains would stop talking trash.  I still just find it an incredible coincidence that this happened in the year when the Wildcats had enough talent to at the very least make the Final Four.  The hair on the back of my neck and the feeling in my gut still tells me this was an organized attack because they were seeing that not only Coach Miller is a great coach, but he was reaching their levels of recruitment without using their immoral/illegal tactics.  They ARE SCARED of what he CAN DO!  If Coach Miller would have taken this team to the Final Four, did it with all that talent that he recruited without their methods...the UofA would become one of the MAJOR recruiting powerhouses in the country, landing the kind of recruiting classes that Duke and Kentucky get every year.  And again, he would do that WITHOUT using their methods.  There's a thought for all the Wildcat/Coach Miller fans...What would Coach Miller do with a team as loaded with talent as Kentucky, Duke, etc., get every year?

WOW! Good for Heeke to make such a strong statement.  I hope he made a personal call to the head of ESPN to tell them where to put Schlabach's story!
