Marvin Bagley Ultimate Recruiting Update

Marvin Bagley III is the No. 1 recruit in the 2018 recruiting class & he will be visiting Arizona the first week of August. His top schools are Arizona, Kentucky, Duke, & USC. What's being overlooked is the chance of Bagley going overseas instead.

Bagley’s dad is Lamar Ball Lite and is Really into his son’s recruitment.  He will be the one that ultimately makes the decision for his son as to where he's going to go. If he does go overseas it'll be for the money & a shoe deal with Nike.

A lot of people don't know that Marvin Bagley's dad actually works for Nike, so a school like UCLA (Under Armour) pretty much has no chance of getting him unless things change with Dad Bagley Jr. His dad also coaches him on his current team named Nike Phamily(EYBL). He moved from Phoenix because his dad thought that team didn't get enough exposure.

Bagley has not been shy about talking about his interests in going overseas.  There have been rumors in the past that he might have some eligibility issues.  All of the reclassifying talk is being seen as something that is probably being pushed by Duke & USC, so they'll have a better chance at Bagley knowing that Arizona has no more scholarships.

That's where Denny Talbot comes into the picture. He would be the odd man out if Bagley did somehow reclassify.  Denny knows that Arizona would pull his scholarship as he was promised one year and he got one year....not Arizona's fault he got hurt. It would not be the most popular choice, but he understand and would do what's best for the team.

As to what Bagley thinks about Arizona. Watch closely at the 1:48 mark in the video below at how he smiles when she asks about Arizona 👀 Bagley says "I've been to UofA games since 7th grade and that's the type of atmosphere I want to play in" As of now Arizona & Kentucky are the 2 schools in the lead to get Bagley with USC & Duke trying to make a late push. He'll be deciding in October, so it'll be just a few more months till we find out.

Nice to know that Arizona is in good positions for Bagley III and Barrett.
October is almost a year in recruiting terms and anything can sway him one way or the other.
Crazy to imagine how loaded this class could be with the targets we are after right now.

Just sit back and enjoy the ride guys.
Our 2018 class could be the best ever at Arizona and it may not be close.
One commit at a time, but I'm going to enjoy this season and watching this recruiting class take shape!
Get after it Coach!

Can't even imagine locking up the #1 recruit two years in a row...

The fact that Arizona just got the #1 player in Ayton & has a Chance at the #1 2018 Bagley & #1 2019 Barrett is something special.  With the deadly combo of Miller & Romar it's possible we can get them all.  Even if we miss on both UofA is recruiting at a different level than ever before.  It's all gotta come together soon & add up to Final Fours & then a Championship. It's a good time to be a Wildcat fan!  BEARDOWN!!

I remember saying around the time we signed the 2015 recruiting class.
I stopped saying that and just take each season for what it is and enjoy the ride.
This 2017 class is the best class ever and they are going to come in with high hopes (like our 2016 class did), but I am taking it one game at a time and start thinking about Final Fours when the tourney comes.
