Former Kentucky player, Jemarl Baker, has committed to Arizona! Huge pick up for the Wildcats as we get a good shooter and tough fender. It may have helped that he played for the same travel ball program as Nico Mannion, Josh Green and Ira Lee — West Coast Elite. He's a traditional transfer who will sit out 1 year.

With the addition of Kentucky transfer Jemarl Baker, Arizona sits one scholarship over the 13-player limit for 2019-20. He won't be eligible until '20-21.

The former 4-star guard took a medical redshirt in '17-18 (knee) and averaged 9 minutes in 28 games last season.

Huge addition if Miller can get him to share the ball!  Nice.

Check out the jersey number he's wearing in the graphic. Coincidence? I think not.

Nice pickup for the 2020 class especially considering we could have alot of scholarships open then.

Not seeing a great high screen player here, but assuming one of either BWill or Mannion will be here still, this kid will have plenty of passes coming his way.

The best part about conventional transfers is you get a red shirt year for them to learn the system before they play an actual game.  In the era of wanting immediate impact players it can seem a long time to wait, but you always get better basketball out of it.

Absolutely. Miller will quickly show him that he needs to play D in order to get immediate PT.

I’m going to say that is always the benefit for traditional transfers under Miller.
I’d bet JB is going to hear all year that if he won’t play if he doesn’t play defense.

Looking forward, without knowing our 2020 prospects, I wouldn’t mind seeing Baker/Armstrong as our starting wings.
With the way Miller is recruiting, we will have multiple 5* prospects coming in.

Are we talking Trier or Salim here? Because Salim did not share much but would not have wanted him to.
