Divergent views are never well received in forums... I have never understood it...guess I never will.

I don't like Miller - but I give reasons why.

This sentence could have been written -- "I don't like Miller, but I've given unending reasons why, unmercifully." Which to my way of thinking, would be a more honest picture.

Slightly off topic -- Were you one of the fans that sought Tomey's departure?

Short answer is yes, I thought it was time to change but unlike Miller I liked (and knew) Tomey personally and I respected him as a FB coach...but after the Penn State disaster the little guy against the world thing wasn't going to work anymore. We needed to step up and I was late to that party - many along time ahead of me were calling for his head.

Long answer  - will just piss you off...I knew DT and his son and many players of the era and I knew a key person in that love triangle that, like you say, led to him being done dirty.

IMO, Rodriguez more than restored AZ football and, like Smith, was far more consistent than Tomey.

Jury is out on Sumlin but not using Tate to run and winning 5 games with an 8 or 9 win team and landing the #9 or #10 recruiting class in the conference does not bode well, IMO.

That's complicated by knowing several players and one key person involved in the broken engagement

The question was, for the most part, rhetorical. I would have been good had you limited your answer to the single word, "Yes."

Insults, name calling, back handed 'complements'  these all seem to come with peoples replys when commenting on others posts. So here is my question, is this the standard on forums and social media? Have people given upon being respectful towards others and their opinions? Does this some how make others feel superior towards the ones they mock, are people incapable of a simple reply, or is this the way it goes now a days?

Thanks

Unfortunately this does seem to to be the norm these days.  Social media holds no one accountable, where as if it where face to face, a solution, or some kind of impasse would be met.  The only other forum I deal with is a mechanics forum, and we all help each other, (yeah, no comparison, I know) so my point of view is limited also.  I am on face book, and the first thing I learned was to ignore, or block crap that bothered me.
As far as this forum goes, I like reading all views, whether I agree or not, it gives me good insight.  And I may add, that sometimes the same poster posts things I agree with, then next post, I do not.  That is what a forum should be about, expressing opinions, no two people think alike.
The name calling should be left out, be Adults.

Unfortunately most people are offended by the least little breeze that blows by anymore. Then the insults and stuff starts. It is not even be an adult, it is plain do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Be kind, is that too much to ask?

We have a Bingo!  I love it when someone can sum everything up in 50 words or less.
