Dave Heeke met with the media at halftime to let them know he fully supports Sean Miller.

We're 1-6 over the past 7 games and have 5 game losing streak for the first time since Lute's first season. 3 of those games were at McKale and the other two were the worst back to back looses in program history.

We have no hope of making the NCAA tournament as an at large bid or as conference champion. We will have to win the PAC12 tournament and only 1 recent game was even close - Washington.

AZ, at Mckale, against team that is 10-14 over all, AZ scored 21 points in the first 1/2. I don't know and can't find anything but if it is not a record, its darn close to it.

Millers recruits have been busts, including the recruits he lost last year. Quinerly has not scored in the last 4 games. O'Neal is out, maybe forever. This started last year -in the Bahamas. Ayton (along with the #3 recruiting class that came with him) was lipstick for a pig...Barcello, Randolph and Ira Lee were part of the #3 class and only Randolph is a starter, despite attrition from transfers and injuries. Akot left.

We have lost in the first round of the tournament three years in a row with more or as much NBA talent as any one team had over the same period, except for Kentucky.

IF the FBI stuff had not happened, If we had not committed any of the list of NCAA violations, If Miller had stayed in Oregon last year, If Schlabach had gotten hit by a bus on the way to write his unsubstantiated story, if I had never written single negative thing about AZ this season on this board:

AZ WOULD BE STILL BE 14-10, 5-6 IN THE CONFERENCE AND IN THE EXACT SAME POSITION WE ARE RIGHT NOW.

NO AD should support this recent record at a blue chip school. He spoke about AZ's 'brand'. That brand is being decimated right now. The 'New Coke' sucks...bring back the old.

Can we just say how weird this is? When was the last time an AD held a half time press conference? I think there is an obvious discomfort between heeke and miller that Robbins is making try to work. Something has got to give

Re-listened.

Heeke is an idiot. He will not address the issues or call out others who he claims "drive a narrative that does not exist"... but he won't name them, sue them or contradict them. There is no fight, no plan, no direction...he is on the deck of a ship in the middle of hurricane hanging on for dear life.

His support is conditional and laden with caveats 'Will Miller coach next year?' - "Again, like I have said before, and I've been very clear, and its disappointing when someone else drives a different narrative...I look forward to working with Sean Miller in the future". Deflect, obfuscate, speak in generalities... the future might only be tomorrow or next week. The correct answer is "Yes, Sean Miller WILL be our coach next season".

Heeke talks a lot but does not say anything and he has to either fire Miller or support him, at this point, so this was necessary...but vague and ultimately totally meaningless.

Now I want both of their sorry asses fired. This performance was not worthy of a blue chip program. He is inarticulate, obtuse and defiant....that is not leadership, its another nail in the coffin of AZ Basketball.
