What have they been facing off the court?
The only things that could have adversely effected them were created by the coaching staff...
This is a ridiculous premise...Miller left Oregon when the story broke, Miller has not punched back or addressed the details of any allegation other than to just deny everything, Miller hired the wrong type of people as assistants (2 entire staffs now), Miller failed to recruit enough talent to win this year even if the class had shown up...
The only think these guys are facing off court is the shame they likely feel for making such a bad choice of head coach.
Another jerk yelling from the peanut gallery...name one coach that could have done better under the circumstances of a direct attack from ESPN...
I'll wait...and there is a very strong possibility that Miller is under legal obligations to NOT respond to questions by assinine sports reporters who are only speculating at best...it was and continues to be an FBI investigation, a sensitive matter by the University and Miller has always been tight lipped about negative things but he has ALWAYS TOLD US THE TRUTH WHEN HE COULD.
But while we're at it...I have never seen a faker fan, or someone with a bigger hard-on to get rid of Miller.
Why do you even post except to show your general lack of cognitive abilities?
You do realize Miller was advised by LEGAL to not respond with a lawyer present in order to protect the University?
Do you even grasp the basics of how this works?
Since you cannot refute anything, you call names... nice.
Legal counsel may have advised the Ostrich defense but that does not mean Miller is legally obligated to it. If he is innocent there is nothing to protect the University from... so why would they have gag order on him? But you, in you're sage wisdom have probably figured out the answer to that one by now, right (hint: he is not innocent)? He and the University could easily challenge ESPN and demand they produce the tapes or print an apology and retraction. But apparently he'd rather be a martyr or simply let everything play out and not act to counter the damage to the schools reputation and brand.
Miller is not powerless within the UofA system, in fact, I suspect the university would not pursue any course of action without his agreement and consent as it related to him. If they wanted to do that, they would fire him instead of circling the wagons.
Yes, I know how the world works, and I have owned and managed an entity involved in long, nasty law suit that took many different turns and I have spent more hours with attorney's than I care to admit. But I was in the right and I won which is why I am so pissed off about how horribly the University and Miller have both handled this.
And you know, I should give him a break, maybe I should tone it down and back off of laundry list of NCAA violations, the poorly handled situations (Pitts), the sheer corruption of assistants etc.... Yea, I think I'll do that.
I'll back off of 1 topic for every ranked team he has beaten in the last 5 years. And 1 for every Final Four he gotten to. 1 for every time he was ranked int he top 10 and did not loose to Dana Altman (thats 3 times, BTW)... basically I will balance his on court success with his off court failures.
Odd the scale did not even move...
