Congrats to Wildcat Dusan Ristic on announcing he is starting his Pro career in Europe with European powerhouse Red Star Belgrade. Dusan was received interest from several teams in Europe which is why he chose not to play in the Phoenix Suns summer league after receiving an invite. BearDown & Good luck Dusan!

You know, on first thoughts about this 3 year deal in Serbia, you'd think he's going to play 3 years there...improve his game even more, and then come back and play in the League.  But, I think that when he becomes a big star in his own country/area...he might enjoy that hometown fame so much...he might not come back.

Either way, I really, really hope he lives his dream and is happy where ever he does decide to play/stay.

I kind of feel bad now after the way I got after him in posts his first two or three years.  The first year he played some offense, no defense and didn't rebound well. The second year his offense improved some and his rebounding a little as well.  The defense...not so much.  The third year he started rebounding better, his offense was getting pretty good and his defense occasionally looked good.  And the senior year he was COMPLETE.  His offense was amazing, his defense was very good, and his rebounding was almost on par with his offense.  His first couple of years he would grab the rebound and an opposing player...sometimes even very small guards, would just take it from him.  The senior year he was rebounding like a pro.  Anyone that would've tried to take it from him would've probably got hurt.  By the senior year I realized that he took longer to develop like MOST Bigs do, and I also realized that during this entire time that I was disappointed...he was constantly working on his game and even though it took longer than I was comfortable with...he did it RIGHT.  He became what he wanted to on the court.  I'm very proud he played here.

And I will always think of him as a great Wildcat!

I've always loved his hustle.  Dusan improved on the offensive end and worked hard during his 4 years in Tucson.

Still...his defense was miserable!  Hope he has a long/successful career overseas.
