Basketball Season Preview

This is a really good site, they've been releasing great content this summer. They have us at #17 which is fair, I think. Good in depth write up:

Good read, compared to others you could definitely tell did their research putting this together. This team has the pieces to be one of Millers best (if not best) offensive teams regardless of how Miller decides to utilize them, though I think they're bound to struggle defensively and why they remind me a bit of the 2017-2018 squad. Of course this team is more guard heavy and should have better point guard play so hopefully they don't fall victim to the same fate. But I'm excited and anything to remove the taste from last season.

I see a little merit in this article, but I see as much not worth much.  The way Lee is downplayed  as not being able to position himself for defense is the first thing I'd have a discussion with them about.  Last season Ira played some pretty good defense.  But these "3 guys" have given him no possibility of improving from one year to the next.  I'd put money on Ira playing better this year than he did last.

They left Josh out of the conversation 'till last for his position.  With his skill set and his familiarity with Nico's play sets, I think he'll be better than they allow.  Zeke has been in the weightroom and is looking good.  He's got some serious skills as well.  I think #17 is a little high but that should be proven by the tournament.  Between Chase, Ira, Stone, and Zeke...I believe our front court will be up to snuff by Pac-12 time at the latest.  And the backcourt should be very good.  Otherwise, interesting read.

Good call, Titan.

Ira’s defense improved as the season progressed. He couldn’t make a play without fouling during his freshman year and I expect him to keep opponents out of the paint as a Junior.

This team should be MUCH better defensively. We have guards that play hard and a frontcourt with experience and/or length.

Good info, thank you...it is always interesting to see a non-arizona centric perspective (i.e. not much credit to Ira Lee). IMO, underestimating talent always allows for us to surprise everyone and someday, we actually will again.

I don't think there is any mystery as to how these players will be used. They will be used exactly that same way Miller always does no matter what their individual talents are. I can't say anymore without 'hikjacking'.

Yes, but was I wrong?

This season is going to be all about Zen. Let it wash over you and accept it for what it is. It is not 'positive' or 'negative', it just is. So just saying what it is is not positive or negative either.
