Arizona Vs Washington game discussion thread 2/07/19 7pm ESPN2
The Wildcats are coming off tought OT loss to ASU. They are now 14-8 & 5-4 in the Pac12. They will be facing a 18-4 & 9-0 WU team that is coming off a nice win over UCLA. They did suffer a big loss in losing Big man Noah Dickerson to a shoulder injury & sprained ankle. The huskies are hoping he'll be healthy enough to play against the CATS. J. Nowell is the leading scorer for Washington averaging 16.6ppg. There is no game line out as of yet, but surprisingly the ESPN match-up predictor is actually giving Arizona a 57.2% chance of winning.
Let's talk about how you think the Wildcats will do against the Huskies on Thursday night.
Big game for the cats. A tough zone defense might give them some trouble. Hopefully the cats get a win a turn the loosing streak around.
We havn't lost 4 games in a row since '08-'09....and only 4 times since 1984. I say we win a tough fought game. BTFD

We really need this W.
Another zone defense..ugg. Need to be 100% if possible, shoot lights out. About as close to a must win as it gets, so close to dropping out of sight in a shitty league. A mid to low seed in the NIT sounds horrid. Come on Cats we need this!

For some reason the national powers that be (including Kenpom) donít like Washington. Not sure I understand why other than the weak competition in the pac
Washington has the best zone D in the conference, Arizona has the worst zone O ( at least by the eye test). We have a shot only because of home court advantage if jeter and Williams are healthy enough to be productive. Should be a fun one at Mckale
Miller has announced BWill is going to miss the Washington and is out indefinitely.
Walton and Pasch to work tonight's game against the Huskies.
1. I believe that when the NCAA hands out our punishments over the next few years...we need to note that we have already been punished by having Walton call so many games this year.
2. Miller cannot be anything but totally frustrated and pissed off with what is happening and if the team can take some of that attitude...I believe we can roll Washington. I'd go into that locker room full of piss and vinegar and fire those kids up as much as possible. This team, on a roll, can beat anyone. If we can get 35-40 good minutes of motivated play out of them...this could be a rout. But anything short of a truly inspired
effort will not be a win for us.
I'm gonna be an optimist for once.
