Arizona Vs Wake Forest 🏀 game discussion thread 12/1/19 7pm ESPN

The Wooden Legacy Championship game features the two best offenses of the tournament. Wake Forest advanced to the finals with a 88-75 win over Long Beach State.

Meanwhile, Arizona has faced a trio of tenacious teams. On Friday, they beat a hot-shooting Penn squad 92-82 to advance. Sunday's game takes place at 7p.m. at the Anaheim Arena.

Wake Forest employs an aggressive offensive attack
The Demon Deacons had a seven-minute drought where they didn't make a field goal. Instead, they used their attacking offense to force Long Beach State to commit 20 fouls. This gave the Demon Deacons 25 free throw attempts and they made 24 of them, a tournament record.

On Sunday, their offense could have another big performance against Arizona. The Wildcats like to use a blistering tempo to outscore teams. In the tournament, Arizona has struggled to contain teams, often times relying on the strong play of freshman Nico Mannion and company to offset their defensive weaknesses.

Speaking of Mannion, he's been the star of Arizona's team and should be the main focal point for Wake Forest's defense. Mannion has scored at least 16 points in his tournament games. He's also making more than 46% of his three-point shots.

Mannion continues to prove he's one of the more dynamic freshman in the country. He scored a career-high 24 points against Penn.

He leads a high-octane Arizona offense that shot 58.6% from the floor. On Sunday, they face a Wake Forest defense that struggled to contest shots. The 49ers made 48% of their shots so that bodes well for the Wildcats, who'll want to use their offense to run Wake Forest out of the building.

Defensively, the key for the Wildcats is to stay out of foul trouble. The Demon Deacons have struggled shooting the ball throughout the tournament, but they make up for their cold spells with an aggressive offense that feeds off producing fouls for free throws.

Arizona is favored by -12.5
