Was that actually good basketball last night?
« on: March 01, 2019, 10:05:49 AM »
In the PAC12? Whoodathunkit!?

BOTH teams:
Shot ~50% FG
Shot ~40% 3pt (we shot 47%!)
Shot 80% FT
Had double digits assists
Had a reasonable number of turnovers

AZ rebounded better but turned it over more...

One of the better games I have seen this year in PAC12 and it still had some really ugly edges...

The officiating was absolutely terrible.

Fugly at times with the turnovers and the pride of the PAC12 officiating crew. Was nice to see both teams go on runs and fight back and forth, hit big shots when needed. Rebounding was the X factor in this game for the Cats, and of coarse Double Dizzle with the put back for the win. Twas nice to squeeze some fun out of this season.

I don't know how 'good' it was but it sure was fun to watch.  We are shooting much better.  The heart and ability to keep battling by our guys was a pleasure to witness.  Watching guys foul out, get injured and another guy coming in to take their place.  Watching Randolph.  Who is that guy?  He's like Jekyll and Hyde.  Apparently he doesn't need Williams in the game but he does need Williams to play.  I've never seen a player so tied inexplicably to another player.  Lee is quietly starting to look as good as Jeter and seems to be more of an emotional leader.  Everyone seems to be pouring their hearts into the last 3 games and even the mountain road trip they started to look like a change was coming.

There were a few ugly turnovers for both schools...but I think it was good basketball.

If it weren't for the excessive foul calls, there would have been a better flow to the game.  Arizona and OSU were both hitting tough shots with defenders in their faces.

The Pac-12 always seems to get better as the season progresses.  Since we lost every important OOC game, it makes the conference look crappy...again!
