Interesting. He has UW and Oregon at the top of the PAC-12...followed by Colorado, Zona and USC. 6 tourney teams from the conference gives us respect, but it seems odd that Utah State is tied with the highest seeding of any P12 school.

Some love for the Aggies?

I wish we had a few more marquee games to shut up Katz and the rest of the East Coast basketball analysts. If we end up with less than a 4-6 seed, things will have had to have gone very wrong/lots of injuries. We have talent at PG for the first time since TJ and elite PG play is what wins in March.  Itís a whole new ball game baby. Bear Down!

Definitely. If Nico stays healthy, this team will absolutely earn a higher seed than Katzís projection.

Considering this group is going to be spearheaded by 3 freshman and the fact we just officially lost our most talented returner from last season, I don't find it too surprising seeing us a bit undervalued.  And with the last two seasons underperforming well below expectations I find it hard to blame these analysts for being skeptical about Miller and the Wildcats. But it's a good thing rather have these guys hungry and ready to prove doubters wrong, then having them in the final 4 or bust mentality that just seems to put unnecessary pressure on these kids.

6 Pac12 teams? Proves that this is just "passing time". By the time the out of conference games are over, "the pundits" will have 1 bid Pac12 with maybe a 2nd.

Arizona severely underrated lol. They have recently (within the past 2 weeks) ascended to 14th best odds per most major sports books to win the National Championship. Oregon 13th. Just food for thought.

I'm shocked that he has Illinois ahead of us as a #5 seed.  Is that really going to be a tough matchup in Tucson?

Underwood is a good coach, but the Illini severely underperformed last season & I can't envision them as a Top-25 program for another year or two.

They return their 3 best players from last year including Ayo Dosunmo who's supposed to be a 1st rounder and surprisingly played a lot better in conference after an abysmal non-conference showing. They did beat Michigan State and Maryland. Probably not a top 25 team but should hear their name called during Selection Sunday. Will be tough test early in the season wouldn't be surprised to see them drop that one.

We lost Jeter?!

Agree with all of what you said. Better to be underestimated than over. Miller is a pariah and this is a good example. The freshmen have not played one minute of college hoops. Miller plays the Pack Line in an era of analytics and now an extended 3 point line and will ignore the speed and creativity of innate BB talent in his players.

Its totally possible that we get a higher seed, but being cautious, a 9th seed seems about right.
