Zeke would be hard to pull from the MW, but really like his game. His freshmen game would remind me of what Jordan Hill was able to do in year 2.

Koloko would be a great get.  I do not think that he should be counted on to contribute in his frosh season, though.  Honestly, with his body type and raw talent(dont think he's been playing that long) I would love to see him red shirt(I dont know if a kid can be convinced to do that anymore, though).  I certainly think we need another 6'10"+ PF/C to go with him, someone who could contribute immediately.

I think he should be a huge priority for the staff.

He has a TON of length & is aggressive on defense.  We haven't had a solid shot-blocker in the post for a LONG time.

Koloko has old-school interior moves.  Arizona hasn't had a big-man that backs down defenders in a while.  His shot is a bit "flat" (similar to Ayton), but I don't think he'd take a lot of jumpers at the D-1 level.

As a prospective 4-year player, I really hope he commits & provides a future for our frontcourt.
As a member that I respect on this site, I respect and value your opinion, so I ask you..
Where/how would you rank the following in terms of what you believe/want us to bring in, assuming we could/would only take one, maybe two:

C - Kai Jones (FL)
C - Christian Koloko (CA)
W - Jaden McDaniels (WA)
F - Edward Turner

I don't follow recruiting as closely as I once did, but I think Koloko should be the #1 priority.

Landing a guy like McDaniels will prove to the rest of college basketball that Arizona is still a player in recruiting Top-10 kids...however guys like Kai Jones and Edward Turner will allow Arizona to "build" chemistry in the frontcourt.

Kai Jones would be an amazing addition because he's ready to contribute immediately.  He wouldn't be a starter, however he could provide depth to Jeter and Lee.

Edward Turner is raw...yet he is a gifted shot-blocker that can guard multiple positions.  I'd love for him to commit with Koloko or Jones...however I'd be happy if any two players listed above ended up in Tucson.
The reason I’m not as high on Koloko is with this new “offense” we don’t know if a true big is going to be able to have an impact for us.
Obviously a shot-blocker on defense, assuming he can get his timing and positioning down, but on the offensive end, what are we getting?
Unless Miller is going to make Koloko a Capela 2.0, I’m having a hard time plugging him in.

Maybe I need to see this offense live so I can get a better picture, but a 6’10 McDaniels seems like an immediate “plug and play” type of prospect that we’ve been used to at (N.Johnson/Tarczewski/Ashley/Jarrett/Gordon/Hollis-Jefferson/S.Johnson/Trier/Markkanen/Ayton and now Williams in 2018.

I'm not sold on the fact that we're running a fast-paced offense.  If it didn't happen with Romar on staff...it likely won't happen with a PG that has zero experience under Miller's system.  Hopefully I'm wrong.

Regardless, a lot of our prior success at Arizona hinged on having a strong big-man.  All of them were mobile (and ran the 1-mile in 6-7 minutes....including Ristic).  Frye, D-Will, Zeus, Jordan Hill, Ristic, Ayton...even Ryan Anderson was a double-double machine.

Who else will be in our frontcourt in 2019-2020?  Gettings, Lee and Jeter (assuming he doesn't get drafted).  We need depth in the frontcourt...likely two guys.  I'd like to bring in two that can fill a long-term void because Ira will be the only upperclassman in 2020-2021.

And yes...I don't consider Akot a big man.  He can play the 4, but only in certain situations.

I’m believing that it has something to do with the appeal to prospects.
We’re not 100% sure but it only came after Romar was on staff so who knows the original purpose behind it.

I guess we will find out this season if we are playing at a much faster tempo.

For me, it’s more than just tempo.
Are we able to increase the pace, AND maintain our efficiency?
If the answer is no, then I’d rather go back to our original way of doings things.

I was fine with how we played last season, but that was with our original offense of playing inside-out.
An increase in pace AND we’re going to be more guard-oriented?
This has a Villanova type of style written all over it..
