Very true, essentially a different team since. Even though Yates was still there, heís coming up with a lot of different looks and making considerable game time adjustments compared to the last time they met. The fact that UW pounds Byu in Provo and beats SC is scary. Canít really compare their only likely opponent because UA has certainly played like a different team since Hawai'i. The Dawgs have played inconsistently and not up to their potential in some games against tougher competition.
The Cats have progressed unit by unit each week, the depth and size is noticeably better after the Ucla w/out Tate and JJ, and CU wins. Interested to see how physical the Cats can get. UW has struck first in each of their games but havenít reacted well to Cal and Stanford who punched right back. UA showed how quickly they can respond in Boulder. The team has shown a middle of the Pac potential and a bowl game is now practical, considering expectations following Week 0. A win over a solid (but not great) Washington team should be respectable enough to consider the Cats an upper half of the conference team.
I mentioned the Huskies haven't played up to their potential in some games, but they've shown it in others. I don't believe we've witnessed UA playing up to their potential at this point which makes this game harder to weigh.
