Bump

Everyone should take time out to listen to this podcast. Dax & Gabe break down every single position on the Arizona football team in detail. You can tell they did their research and it's the perfect way to get you ready for the Arizona Vs Hawaii match-up on Saturday. I'll be joining them on the next pod to talk about the game.

Lots of good stuff there but I disagree on the QB situation. Unless there is an injury to Tate, I see Rhett being the primary back up because the intent is to play Grant in 3-4 games and RS him for next year. He NEEDS to build his body some and why risk the injury issue before he is ready and because we have Tate. Tate will be closer to the original Tate than many expect, but NOT running on every down. So many weapons. The O-line is the key. That looks to be solid enough to start with. We have several weeks to  get that all down. Look for us to use Wolma a little more this year as well. Joiner played all over the field in HS so the switch to receiver is not that big of a deal.

Great podcast that covered pretty much everything you need to know about Arizona football heading into the season after depth chart release. I was also thinking that the backup qb situation probably has more to do with saving the RS and less about competition for the 2 spot. Sumlin has repeatedly stated that he considers the 4 games as a bonus for his commitment toward player development and saving the RS for new guys coming when possible.

The only scenario where I see Grant playing in more than 4 games or starting is if either Tate or Rhett get injured and thereís no option but to burn it. Like when Tate was forced to burn his during his debut @ UCLA. Tate wasnít ready, after seeing what heís capable of now imagine if he didnít have to burn eligibility & we had him for another year!
