Does anyone else find it odd that it hasn't come out from Sumlin's camp that he's no longer in the running for the Arizona HC position?

We probably haven't heard much about or from Sumlin because he doesn't have a school/team to report back to. Navy coach/Baldwin/Brown etc. are easier to track because they need to communicate with the Ad's or be around the facilities with important recruiting dates coming up. Hard to tell where Sumlin would even be at this point. I really want to know if he actually even interviewed for the job or if they were so far apart on the $$ aspect that they did not even continue with with process as it would have been a waste of both of their time. You're right though Wild, it's amazing that no one has reached out or been able to get a hold of Sumlin to get a statement or comment on his side.

I'm pretty sure there are people involved that don't want to pony up the money to hire Sumlin.  So, perhaps they'll cave in when they feel their backs are against the wall and the alternatives are no longer worth the impact it'll have on the program.

I know it's a long shot and highly unlikely that he'll end up in Tucson, but a small part of me hopes there is a 1% chance they rub some $ together. Could be that he's simply not interested coaching in AZ or it could be terms of Yates staying as the DC or other staffing issues. At this point who really knows what the deal is or ever was with it. I'm not ruling any candidate out until its all said and done though. Hell, I thought that I read somewhere that Todd Graham found a coordinator position, I still wouldn't even rule him out until the press conference is over! That's how crazy this search is, Tennessee 3.0.
