Almost hate to agree with him but?

We know the fans are rabid about basketball, but that arena only seats a little over 14k. I hear the stuff of "if we win they will come" but it can be true that if we come they will win more. It is true that players react to the crowd. The crowds have been not only a little sparse,  but on the quiet side more often than not this year. We have the lowest ticket prices and good parking. Tailgating is a nice experience. The school has done everything they can to make the game day experience better without paying people to come to games.
Point is that if every school in the PAC is averaging equal to or more in attendance than we are, and charging double for tickets and parking, they are pocketing more money. Money is what was needed for the practice facility, stadium upgrades, north endzone project, and the athletic dept period. If we don't fill the seats what do we expect in return?

Every person aged 16-50 should go a few times a year. Not sure how to fix the gameday experience but back in my day the tailgate was always more poppin than the game itself and usually the students left by halftime. No idea how to fix that but I can guarantee if we were as good in football as we have been in basketball it would be a non-issue.

Always heard that the late starts killed attendance and for people driving from Phoenix tat could be the case, but when we have played day games has the attendance gotten better? IDK the answer to that. It seems LS is determined to keep us playing the last games of the day when we are home. I don't buy anything about heat being a factor. The conference does not like Arizona and has not dealt fairly with them from the beginning. LS has only magnified that since he took over. It is the one reason so many fans would love to see us initiate open conversation with the Big 12 conference about making a move. It speaks volumes when during the time of expansion, schools would want to jump ship from a P5 conference. One that is sinking no less! I truly think LS was a plant from the other P5 conferences to weaken the PAC to a non-factor conference. It is after all, ALL about the money. The greedy SEC and Big 10 want a bigger share!

Hey now!!  I'm 59 and have had season tickets every year since Mackovic and sporadically back to '92.  But, otherwise I agree that people need to experience the game day experience and be a part of the "team".  However, I have seen plenty of people who sit in the stands and complain about every play, and honestly, I wish they would stay home some times.

Lol i respect that. I havenít had a convo about Mackovic in a long time and the conversation then was about a salacious rumor so if you had season tickets back in those days, you are a true fan sir.

Parking always sucked, maybe that is the problem maybe it is the heat. I agree with LG though that Larry Scott is a petty little twat and looks for every chance to screw Zona. I would love to have a yearly rivalry with Kansas. We could still schedule our annual beatdown of the Scumdevils too.
