Breaking News: Brandon Williams has officially committed to the ARIZONA WILDCATS!!! BWILL tweeted saying "Dear University of Arizona, I'm your Point Guard".
PPU was the first to report he would commit to the Wildcats 2 days ago after getting confirmation from more than one unnamed source. They also told us that Arizona is his DREAM school.  Williams the No. 16 player in the 2018 class & No. 3 rated Point Guard. Miller has finally gotten that top rated 5 STAR PG he's been trying to land.

Williams was very close to committing to UCLA after his visit with the Bruins, but after talking it over with friends, family and teammates he decided the Arizona Wildcats and Sean Miller would be the best place for him improve his game and to win a National Championship.

"Williams is a speedy point guard who thrives in up tempo situations," reads an evaluation by Scout.com. "He gets up and down the court in a hurry and can either use his ball skills to create for himself or teammates. Williams can really shoot it off the bounce and does a nice job using his handle to create space. He can sometimes be shoot-first, but has the vision to make teammates better. He has good lateral quickness, which aids him on defense. His upside is very high."

"He's going to be really good wherever he ends up going. I would expect him to go in and contribute very early. He's going to be really good and I have every confidence in that. He's got things in his make-up that no coach can teach. Those things make him very valuable. He's got a chance to be the best to come out of Crespi."

"They've been there from the beginning, since eighth grade.  Williams told ESPN's Jeff Goodman. They were the first school to recruit me," Williams said of Arizona. "The addition with [assistant] coach [Lorenzo] Romar only helped me out. They are starting to do a lot more ball screens, which fits my game. Also, my relationship with the coaching staff is great. That's very important."

Williams, a 6-foot-1 point guard from Crespi Carmelite High School (California), is ranked No. 16 in the ESPN 60 for 2018. He slots in as the No. 3 point guard in the country. Williams missed his junior season and the spring AAU circuit due to a knee injury, but his recruitment didn't slow down.

The Wildcats zeroed in on Williams as their primary point guard target in 2018 early in the process.

"They need me to be the point guard," Williams said. "They haven't had that guard in a while. They need me to just do what I do now, create for myself as well as for my teammates."

Arizona coach Sean Miller has landed a top-seven recruiting class in seven straight seasons, and already has two five-star recruits in the fold for 2018. Williams joins five-star power forward Shareef O'Neal (No. 19), the son of Shaquille O'Neal. Former five-star prospect Emmanuel Akot committed for 2018, but recently reclassified into 2017 and will enroll at Arizona for the upcoming season.

Arizona has its eyes on a big 2018 class, with No. 1 prospect Marvin Bagley III atop the list.

"Shareef and I are both assistant coaches," Williams said. "We are definitely going to recruit some guys."

Williams plays for the California Supreme, the same AAU team as 2018 Arizona commit and future teammate Shareef O'Neal & Bol Bol.

Wow, you guys said Chance Comanche had a Big news announcement the day before he announced he was leaving.  Then you messaged people on the site with the news on Rawle coming back a week before he announced it & now you told us about Brandon Williams committing before anyone else was reporting it.  Keep bringing us the old PGU type news & info.  Big Props to you!!

UAlum

I just discovered the site through this inside info and commitment and am pumped to see some familiar faces from the PGU days.

Welcome B Will!!! Gonna be one of the biggest keys after likely losing our starting back court

Very nice.  Thanks for the early heads-up this was coming!  Bear Down.

I think Brandon and Alex could make for a very healthy back court.
"'I was totally amazed and shocked to be hired and released prior to one full year and without any year of recruiting."
